All the fun started on Monday with our own John G puffing out his chest like a proud Pigeon as he had to show his dear dad ‘ how one masters multi ball.
And master it he did, even coming back for 2nds and 3rds. He wanted to tell his Dad how good it felt doing this few minutes of fast and furious ping pong, but he could not speak for a few minutes. Actually i don’t think he could stand for a few minutes and I guess the bright red face + trying to gasp in some air sort of said it all !

Tuesday – Keenagers & the Prestigious Shoot Out was about to start. Teams had been selected and the event was ready to start when an unexpected visitor meant that Toby would take over the running of it. One team got overlooked, the draw was quickly in shambles & the Keenagers were quick to remind Toby that his efforts were not up to standard. So I wandered back expecting to take a back seat, but the sheet was thrust in front of me and Toby did a quick exit! He bailed out very smartly was one comment  !

The Keenagers welcomed back John McMullan & the Pie (Mrs Mac). John’s wife was charming and the language barrier did not seem a problem but it all ended too quickly and it was time to depart. John was now walking around with one thong on his foot – the other had disappeared. He searched high and low so it was now time to empty the over sized sports bag! HIs wife’s head kept disappearing into the bag and John seemed to shovel out things for ever. Finally the bag was empty and no thong so he lifted the bag up for all to see and what was underneath the bag ? The missing object.

Wednesday night pennant + a lot of players did not want to play in the heat so fill ins were the call on the night. Allan A had to eat his dinner in the car on the way as he answered the call to help. Then after rushing in, quickly swallow his diner- no warm up – he had to face ‘the Zammit’ – his captain and team mate from Tuesdays. Didn’t Allan play well and even beat Brian the Lion. Was Brian gracious in defeat?  Didn’t speak to anyone for 15 minutes and moaned as he left that Double A does not play that well on Tuesdays!
